Heloderma suspectum One of the only venomous lizards in the world this is an extremely lethargic lizard staying underground most of the time. A relatively large lizard at 20 in and 4 lbs this carnivore will latch onto its victims and chew to allow the nerotoxin to secrete from grooves in its teeth.
